Summer school registration sessions

Two evening registration sessions for GST BOCES’ regional summer school will be held for students in grades 7-12 who wish to enroll. Students only need to attend one of these sessions if they have not already registered for summer school with their school counselor. Click below for details.

The district’s library media specialists have compiled a suggested summer reading list for students in grades Pre-K through high school. Many of the books on the district’s list are available at local libraries as well as bookstores. Click below to download the list.

Pre-K slots still available

District will issue Work Permits this summer

6/18/2013

Students under 18 who want to work must have a Work Permit, also known as Working Papers. Work Permits are issued by school nurses in the middle and high schools. Students are encouraged to get them from their school’s nurse during the school year. Click on 'Full Story' to find out more.

EFA students participated at Juneteenth celebration

This year's kickoff celebration for the EOP Juneteenth celebration was June 14 at the Ernie Davis Community Center. EFA students performed with Artist in Residence Marcus Johnson, using his jazz arrangements. Johnson worked with EFA and EDMS students in April during a week-long residency.

BMS dessert theater June 10

6/10/2013

BMS presented “Broadway Beat” on June 10 in the BMS Cafetorium. Broadway Beat was a dessert theater featuring seventh- and eighth-grade students performing musical highlights from over a century of Broadway song and dance.

 

School Board to hold regular meeting Wednesday

The Board of Education will hold a regular Board meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 in the EFA Community Room.

SHS Pops Concert Saturday

6/3/2013

SHS will present “Through the Years,” the 40th annual Pops Concert, at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at the First Arena. The concert features the SHS Concert Choir, Festival Chorus, Show Choir and a mystery guest. Ticket prices are $15, $10 and $5.
