Parent Child Resource Center
The Parent Child Resource Center, located in Booth Education Center at 414 Davis St., is open to all families, not just Elmira residents. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m.-noon as well as Tuesday and Thursday from 1-3 p.m.
The PCRC offers the following services, all at no cost:
Drop-In Play Center
The center is separated into different learning areas appropriate for young children. Activities include reading, dress-up, puzzles and much more.
Resource Lending Library
Books and magazines are available to address a wide variety of parenting issues - nutrition, discipline and crafts, to name a few.
Parent Education Programs
Workshops are held regularly and cover a wide range of topics of concern to families. Parental input is key to determining workshop topics.
The PCRC opened in February 2000 as a community service provided by the Elmira City School District.
