Pupil Personnel Services
The Pupil Personnel Services department is an integral part of the total educational program for all students. Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) staff members provide Special Education and support services to the students of the Elmira City School District. We provide assistance to families as well as support to general education staff and administrators.
School Counselors, School Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Special Education Teachers, Special Education Aides, Speech/Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists are all part of the district's PPS team. Outside consultants and itinerant teachers are included as needed. District PPS staff members also are responsible for monitoring the progress of students in programs outside the District. The Pupil Personnel Services Team maintains active partnerships with area support services, businesses, health providers/agencies and community organizations.
Mission Statement
The Pupil Personnel Services Department supports the District’s commitment to excellence and strives to prepare all of our students to live full and productive lives in the worldwide community.
