2021 Summer Programming

The Elmira City School District recognizes summer as an extension of the school year and as a time to provide important academic and social enrichment programs to our students in greatest need. Summer learning provides opportunities for greater health and well-being for children and young people. We've planned our summer programming on the simple idea that summer—a time that is critical to educational development—is bursting with possibility.

Summer of Innovation for Students in Grades 2-12

Several organizations from across the Southern Tier have united to offer unique learning opportunities for children and young adults during the summer months. These organizations have a common goal of extending the traditional school year into a third summer semester. Our offerings have another purpose as well - to provide students with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) skills that are essential to their success in the future.
