Special Education PTAThere’s an exciting new opportunity for the parents of elementary special education students of the Elmira City School District. The parents of special education students in grades K-6 are invited to attend an Elementary Special Education Parent Academy on Wednesday December 11, 2019 from 6:00PM - 7:00PM at the Beecher Elementary Library.

Special Education administrative staff of the Elmira City School District are pleased to announce the formation of a new parent group called a Special Education PTA (SEPTA).

A SEPTA is beneficial for our community as it allows parents of students with special needs to meet others in similar situations. In addition, SEPTAs provide families with organizational structure, resources, and the ability to be a collective voice for children with special needs within the Elmira City School District. We look forward to providing more information regarding this association and how parents can participate.

With questions, please contact our Office of Special Education by calling 607-735.3082. We hope to see you this Wednesday! Administrators will also be on hand the evening of the event to answer questions from parents of Special Education students in grades K-6 regarding services available for their student (s).
