Quadrant COVID Testing

Update as of October 18, 2021

COVID testing, by the Chemung County Health Department, is slated to begin next Monday, October 25, 2021. The first two weeks will include only unvaccinated staff who are required to test. After that, we will open it up to any staff member who would like to participate in the testing.

Testing will take place at your work location on a specific day/time of the week. The schedule for Quadrant testing will be released on Wednesday October 20, 2021 for the first week of staff testing.  The Health Department has contracted with BOCES to provide this service throughout the County’s school districts. All testing samples and results will be processed by Quadrant Testing Incorporated

Pool testing will be utilized whereby saliva samples (taken through a swab of the cheek and lower gum area) from 12 different samples are tested together. If the pool tests negative then everything is ok and no COVID is detected. If there is a positive result from the pool then each sample is tested individually to determine where the positive COVID test came from. The turnaround time between testing and results is between 24-48 hours depending upon how long it takes for the samples to reach the lab.

The Registration Form is self-explanatory on the Quadrant site (see below) and will guide you through a series of questions in order to complete your testing registration. If during the registration form you experience difficulty, please contact Derek Almy at 607-735-3040 or Melissa Montopoli at 607-735-3222.

Please note the following IMPORTANT instructions, specific to ECSD staff:

1. Please check NO for insurance information as the testing is of no charge to ECSD staff.

2. You will NOT enter your employee ID number. Please leave that question blank and continue with your registration form.

Our goal is to have all registrations complete by Friday October 22, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.
