Business Office

The Business Office provides fiscal support services to the District’s operating departments and schools and is responsible for all aspects of the District's financial resources in support of a high quality public education in Elmira. The Business Office oversees the development and compliance of appropriate policies and procedures to safeguard District resources and guide financial transactions performed by the District internally and externally. The Business Office consists of Finance and Accounting, Budget, Financial Grant Management, Purchasing, Tax Collection and Auditing. Additionally, the department manages the General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and Accounts Payable. 

The department is managed under the direction of the District's School Business Administrator, who is responsible for the District's financial infrastructure as well as providing leadership to the Business Office.
