Need Food Help?
If your family needs help with food, you can call or email the school counselor. They can sign your child up for the backpack food program. The backpack gives your child healthy food to take home. It helps families feel safe and happy. Please reach out soon—we want to help you!
We believe that no child should ever go hungry.
Yet, many children who receive free school meals are left without the nutrition they need on weekends and holiday breaks when school is not in session. By providing children who are at risk of hunger with a bag of nutritious food each Friday throughout the school year, the BackPack Program attempts to reduce this gap and help children return to school on Monday ready to learn.
If you are interested in enrolling your child/student in the BackPack program please contact the BackPack Coordinator at your school. This could be a social worker, school counselor, teacher's aid or Family and Community Outreach Coordinator.
