To the Attention of: Beecher Elementary, Broadway Elementary, Diven Elementary, Fassett Elementary
Dear Beecher, Broadway Elementary, Diven and Fassett families,
In preparation for the unusual weather conditions we are facing this week, we will adjust to a half-day schedule for
Beecher Elementary, Broadway Elementary, Diven Elementary, and Fassett Elementary on Tuesday June 18, 2024 and Thursday June 20, 2024. All facilities are closed on Wednesday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. With limited cooling systems in these specific school buildings, we want to ensure the safety of students and staff. Please see the dismissal schedule below, organized by the schools impacted.
Early Dismissal on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 and Thursday June 20, 2024 for the following schools:
• Beecher Elementary – 10:40 a.m. dismissal
• Broadway Elementary – 10:40 a.m. dismissal
• Diven Elementary – 11:00am a.m. dismissal
• Fassett Elementary – 11:00am a.m. dismissal
As with all half-days, students will be provided lunch before they leave. We are encouraging students to dress in light, breathable clothing and to bring bottles for water if possible. As we continue to work through Capital Project improvements throughout the district, more of our spaces will have cooling available and, in the future, we will not run into struggles with temperature.
