Today is World Teacher's Day and in Elmira, we celebrate the best around! Our teachers are our heroes.
World Teachers Day is held each year on October 5. It commemorates the 1966 signing of the International Labour Organization (ILO)-United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Recommendation Concerning the Status of Teachers.
Teachers play a fundamental role in all societies and are critical to meeting our student's needs and helping achieve their greatest successes!
Thank you, teachers, for all you do to enhance experiences for our students.
